Shreve Memorial Library Children’s Book Festival

The Shreve Memorial Library Children’s Book Festival returns Saturday, May 3 on the beautiful campus of LSU Shreveport. The annual event, presented in memory of John Tuggle, is a family-friendly, daylong literary celebration featuring children’s book authors and illustrators, entertainment, costumed characters, games and activities for children of all ages. The festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of LSUS. Admission to the festival is free and open to the public.

  • 10:00 a.m. Festival Opens

  • 11:15 a.m. – 12:10 p.m. Author Presentation – Charlotte Gunnufson, Hard Hat Hank and the Sky-High Solution, Dream Submarine

  • 12:15 p.m. – 1:10 p.m. Author Presentation – Alicia Salazar, Camila the Star series

  • 1:15 p.m. – 2:10 p.m. Author Presentation – Greg Foley, Dex Dingo World’s Best Greatest Ever Inventor

  • 2:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.  Author Presentation – Rachel Renée Russell & Nikki Russell, Dork Diaries, The Misadventures of Max Crumbly

  • 4:00 p.m.  Festival Closes
